Children's Behavior Scale
Pediatric Symptom Checklist

Emotional and physical health go together in children. While there are all sorts of objective criteria for gauging the latter, a child's emotional well-being can be harder to assess. Parents often wonder, "Is my child's behavior normal, or is it something that I need to worry about?"

The Children's Behavior Scale was designed to help you answer this question. Better known as The Pediatric Symptom Checklist, the scale was developed by child psychiatrists and has been carefully tested on thousands of children.

There are 35 questions in all. It usually takes about five minutes to complete. We need you to enter your child's birthday because the scoring changes according to the child's age. This questionnaire is designed for children age 4 to 16; if your child is younger or older, please do not use it.

For each question, please click in the circle under the heading that best descibes your child.
