 | | If snow and ice forced you to spend your baby's first winter housebound, spring's milder weather is no doubt a very welcome thing. Sunnier days give you and your baby a chance (finally) to explore the great outdoors together, whether you simply take a stroll around the block or get down on your hands and knees to examine blades of grass up close. These activities, and others, give you the chance to see the world through your infant's eyes, and this new perspective can be rewarding in ways you never imagined before. In between these excursions, check back here for information and advice about everything from sunscreen use to what to feed your baby (and, no, grass isn't on the list!).
| PARENTS ARE TALKING | | | AUTHOR: John SUBJECT: recommendations for books for one year olds DATE: April 18, 2001 | I'm trying to take seriously my new responsibility as godparent to a one year old girl and uncle to a one year old boy. Does anyone have any good recommendations for books that they may enjoy being read? | | | THIS WEEK'S TIP | | If you find yourself running short on bibs, consider covering your baby's clothes with one of your old T-shirts during mealtime. Then watch in amusement as he messily masters the skill of self-feeding. |
