Susan E. Davis is an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in many publications, including Sports Illustrated, Parenting, Mademoiselle, and Ladies' Home Journal. She has contributed to two books on children's activities: Toddler Play (Weldon Owen, 1998) and Baby Play (Weldon Owen, 2001). She is also co-author of The Sporting Life, a book about the physics of sports. Ms. Davis, who earned her master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, preschool-age daughter, and infant son.
