Dr. Ed Kaplan

Edward L. Kaplan, M.D., is a professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. He also has been the head of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Reference and Research on Streptococci since 1985. Dr. Kaplan specializes in pediatric infectious diseases and pediatric cardiology, and has had extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of streptococcal infections. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, and is internationally renowned for his work on streptococcal infections and heart disease. Dr. Kaplan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in Pediatrics.
