Appropriate Amount of Formula for a Two-Month-Old
QUESTION
Dear Ms. Silva,
How much formula should my two-month-old be eating? How many ounces and how often?

— Paul

ANSWER
January 1, 2001
Dear Paul,
Of course, not all babies are alike, but, generally, a two-month-old baby will drink four to six ounces of formula during each of her five to seven feedings daily. The actual amount a baby drinks depends on her weight and appetite. Consult with your pediatrician regarding the rate of your baby's weight gain, or if you have any other concerns about her growth and development.
