SUBJECT: Before School Child Care
My husband & I each have to be at work @6:30am. We have 3 children aged 5, 8 & 11. Up to now my mom kept the oldest & his mom kept the 2 youngest. (They're step-siblings.) The youngest has been in all-day preschool the past 2 yrs. My mom would take mine to school & dad (a school bus driver) would sneak by & pick up the 2 youngest from his mom's. We've hit a snag now because his mom won't bring the youngest back to our house in the morning to catch the bus to all-day kindergarten that is across town. Day care's don't open before 7am here & my mom won't take the 2 boys. I'm home when they get in from school so that's not an issue. Do we leave them alone in the am & set an alarm for them & call them at 7:30 to make sure they're up & getting ready? The youngest's bus would come first. I told my daughter I would pay her. It wouldn't be every day every week as I have rotating days off. What else can we do? Dad could possibly check in on them if he gets a close route but he won't know until right before school starts. Help!
