Thank you for sharing this with us. I have a new doctor and he doesn't seem very concerned about rupture vs. my previous doctor. I chose, of my own accord, to go with a high risk doctor. It had more to do with lack of confidence and personal issues with my other doctor than any else. But it is comforting to be with a doctor who is more experienced with pregnancies that have some higher risks than normal. My new doctor told me that they normally only see ruptures about 3 percent of the time and USUALLY that is in hard labor. His concern for me is is not so much rupture or the surgery (nor any complications during surgery) as he is getting our pregnancy to term - esp. since in the first 2 of our 5 previous full-term pregnancies I had pre-term labor. Thankfully, though, both of those turned out well with full-term babies. He DOES say though - that he expects me to really take care of myself (eating right, sleeping right, resting often, etc.) He said that WILL be important, as you said. We're really enjoying this pregnancy as all others and we are really thankful for a new kind and knowledgeable doctor. Thanks for posting.
