| Okay, I have been thinking about the fact that I was on a "High Horse" yesterday, could be detrimental to some.
Every situation is different.
No, my Husband doesn't make very good wages, BUT, we do without a lot of extras. We live "Within" our means or even lower.
I spend most of my time caring for, loving, teaching, guiding, playing with our kids.
We rent a decent apartment in a nice area in Northern California.
We can't afford private school, so we picked a really nice, good location, small public school with a really good PTA, lots of parents volunteering to make our children's education successful.
I don't worry about college money, most college kids are alcoholics anyway. No need to send them to a University. They can stay at home, for free, as long as when they go to college they get a part time job to help pay. My husband works for Educaid, he processes Student Loans. They are easy to get.
Their are a lot of different kinds of loans and the interest is in a low phase right now.
Anyway, I have approx. 8 more years to worry about college.
What about Trade Schools? Their are tons of 9 month courses out there with accredited classes and our kids can get good jobs with that kind of college also.
But what's important right now is that our kids get US now. Especially when they are teens.
My Mom stayed home with us kids (I was the youngest) until I was 13. THEN, I needed her. I got into ALL kinds of trouble!!!

Our Kids Need Us!
Now, I will say, every situation is different. A Mom working part time while Jr. is in school is totally do-able. As long as when he needs a change of clothes or has an assembly, she or Dad can be there.
Don't be married to your job.
Be married to your Husband.
All the little things Jr. or Jr's do during you being at work are priceless and you shouldn't miss too many moments.
They never come around again sometimes.
Like when their eyes beem at a special song and they "dance".
I could never hand my baby or kids over to someone else to influence.
Maybe I'm just different.
But, what I do know, Dr. Laura is making a difference in a lot of people's lives.
It really is all about the kids.
I (we) don't have debt. But we do have an emergency credit card, even after bankrupcy.
So, we are set for any emergency.
I am just happy we live within our means and we don't need to be spoiled.
