To the christain lady who posted second I think- I found a scripture I wanted you to see:) and I dont normally use the King James version but for you I will in case it is what you use.... 1 Timothy 2:9,10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest appreal, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
The key word here is modesty. Yes, God loves people, that does not at all mean he is ok with wrong behavior.
This was to help see that if your a person who cares what God thinks this is here to help set the standards. To often people go off what THEY think, but if you really want to do what God wants then go by what he thinks and wants. And try not to be to harsh on the women that started this post. Face it to a degree you have to take into account the caracter of people. It's a good way to stay safe. Example-if your looking for a child care provider are you not going to size up the person to see if they are fit to care for your child?? A Judge, does he not have to judge a person to see what should be done?? I have wrote in here about some people being slutty. I find that I would retrack the posts if I could and change the wording so as to be useful not pin a person that I dont know. But, I wouldnt go around dressing in a fashion that gave off a hint of me being loose, wanting attention, or just thinking to much of my body that I want to show off. It does matter how you carry yourself------one last thing----someone said something to the affect of if a girl dresses loose and gets raped is that her fault also?? That seems to be a mixed question, on the one hand when a girl says no then he should leave her alone. On the other hand I dont believe any girl who dresses to show off her body can say she isnt looking for trouble. Common sense here, you are teasing if you show your body especially knowing how lots of guys are--no affense to the good guys:) | | | |
