It sounds more like YOU are the one feeling pressure, maybe not from an organization that cares about a child's well-being, but rather by society. In most countries, children continue to nurse until the child is FIVE YEARS OLD! There are still benefits for a 3 year old nursing. Human milk was designed for humans, and mother's milk changes as the baby grows to be the perfect nutrition for a baby. In fact, did you know that the American Acadamy of Pediatrics recommends nursing for one full year? Why? To prevent obesity, to promote mental growth and health, and to help prevent cancer both in baby (breast fed babies are less likely to get lukima) and mom (moms who breastfeed are less likely to develop breast cancer). How DARE you critcize someone who is doing what is best for her child?
