I think that you have nothing to worry about. I am a mother of 3&1/2 year old twins, and they have been touching themselves since they were about 1. It is very natural and they should simply be told to go in another room. As far as her doing on your husbands lap it is probably the closest thing she had to her. You said she likes to "experiment", for lack of a better term, with her ball well daddy's leg was simply there when she felt like experimenting. NO big deal! As far as what to say I think you should simply tell her to go into her room if she wants to "play with her monkey" this is what i told my daughters when they were old enuogh. I told them that it was ok to touch it and just that other people didn't want to see it, so they should go to there rooms. Ever since then if they feel like "playing" with themselves they just get up and go to there room. It is not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. Just reassure her that she is special and loved and "NORMAL" and there is nothing wrong with her touching herself. After all practice makes perfect!! ;-)
