AUTHOR: MCK'S MOM | | | hi there sleepless in alabama first of all let me commend you on your decision of single motherhood. i am also one myself. my 19-month old son sleeps with me but not because of financial reasons but because i think that's where he belongs. when he was little he also responded poorly to the crib. and like you out of sheer exhaustion i took him in my bed where he slept soundly for the next 13 months. you should try reading dr.sears baby book. but it's really your decision. if you don't want her to sleep with then you should try maybe what the other mom said about a toddler bed and maybe sleep on the floor until she adjusts. but if it doesn't bother you then it isn't a problem . i work alot also as it sounds like you do, and you could try using it as extra bonding time for you and your daughter. she'll only be this little for so long and in around 15 years(when she's getting boyfriends and driving you crazy) you'll probably remember her fondly nestled next to you and wish she was still that sweet. anyway good luck in whatever you decide to do. remember make whatever decision makes you feel good. best wishes, michelle | | | |
