 | I didnt assume she dosent get spanked, I was going by what you said, that you dont spank her, and please understand I was not trying to affend you, but through typing something can easily be taken the wrong way....
But you dont have to say I proubly treat my animals better than my daughter, that was not nice:( And I wouldnt like it either if my spouse and I were not agreeing on these things, it's not an easy job.
And listen to me, my child does have a fear of displeasing me, not a fear that I am going to cause her pain. She dosent shrink back from me or chringe, if she did them I would agree with you that I am being abusive.
When I spank aries I am careful not to hurt her, let me give an example to what I mean. I have seen some people take their kids hold one arm in their hand and hit them hard on the butt but causing them to bend them back which to me I think would hurt their back from it and they seem to lose control and do it out of being angry rather than trying to teach a lesson. And they yell or say things that are not good. I also do not agree using anything but my hand. I know of a girl who uses a wooden spoon, I dont agree with that, and I cant myself use a belt nor would I allow anyone else to on her. I dont do anything when I am still angry cause I dont want to take it out on her. And I dont spank a lot at all. I also dont hit anywhere but her butt, you might like this, I have gotten to the point with her that we can reason on things, which I like so much:)
I am sorry to hear you and your husband have a bit of trouble with the spanking, if it is like you say that she is spakned all the time and he does it out of anger then I agree that is abusive and I can understand completely why you view spanking the way you do. Also realize that their are people who can spank in a manner that is not abusive and we really love our kids and see they are doing ok. And I take back the comment about your daughter not behaving because you dont spank her, I forget sometime there is more to the story and I spoke to soon.
