SUBJECT: Is my daycare provider Overreacting at my 2 yr olds behavior?
My two year old's behavior is normal two year old behavior at home, but my day care provider says it a big interference to her day and has threatened to stop caring for her. She teaches pre-school lessons to her 3 and 4 year olds in the morning and says that she can't trust my daughter to not harm the other children while she is teaching and it is starting to affect the other kids. My daughter does hit, takes toys away, and occasionally bites according to her, and this has been going on for three months, but I just heard of the problem yesterday! She puts her in time-outs, but returns to the same behavior over and over again. I think that my provider needs to either hire an assistant to help her during lessons, or she needs to pull her closer by her side to keep an eye on her to stop the behavior before it happens - what do you think? Is she overreacting? This is normal 2 yr. old behavior, right?
