Put yourself in your daughter's shoes! why does she have so little respect and love for you? how have you taught her to be so unhelpful and bad mouthed, etc.? where did that bad attitude and offensive behavior come from? why wasn't she taught better?? why wasn't she raised to love, honor, respect, adore, follow and cooperate with you??? how did you lose the loving, respectful contact with your own child (if it ever existed)??? How do you imagine that beating her into submission will rekindle loving, respectful, loyal, cooperative behavior? or will you just be satisfied with humble obedience until your back is turned? At 13, your kid is big and strong enough now to show you the contempt and resentment she's probably had for a very long time and unless you do something to revive the love and caring she might have once had, it'll just get worse. Beating her into submission may work FOR YOU for a short while but you'll be faced with continuous and maybe increasingly viscious beatings just to keep her inline and under your control....until she leaves! If I were you, I'd try to revive the love and respect.....it makes a much better relationship!
