SUBJECT: My daughter is the terror of her daycare!!
I really need some advice on this one. My 15 month old daughter is enrolled in a fantastic daycare. Unfortunately, she is a biter. My husband and I have tried everything we've been advised from time outs to giving her a "chew toy" to even biting her back. (I will NEVER do that again....I felt barbaric, guilty and sick and it certainly didn't get the point across at all!) The daycare uses time outs, teething rings, separation from the other kids...but nothing seems to be working. They've assured me that many children go through a biting phase and to continue with the time outs and teething rings at home.

She usually bites when she is frustrated, but the daycare providers have noticed that sometimes she bites when she is playing "nice" with the other children. (In other words, they've noticed that she can sometimes bite unpredictably.)

I need help...all advice is appreciated!!
