SUBJECT: Growth + Learning of 28 month old
Hi, my 28 month old daughter is 31 inches tall and a little over 24 pounds. This concerned me quite a bit but her doctor reassured me that he thought all was fine with her and that she would just be a small girl. But now I am starting to worry about her learning skills as well. She shows no interest in learning how to use the potty. She can speak about 10-15 words but shows no interest in learning more. She plays with toys very well but if something doesn't fit right with the toy she just gives up. She acts very much like a little baby still. Crying and crying if even the littlest thing is wrong. She always wants me to hold her even though she can walk and run just fine. She does have an older sister (who is 14 months older) and I am wondering if she is just behind because she wants to remain the baby of the family and she also has her older sister to do things for her. Any advice? Anyone else's baby act like this? Or should I be concerned? Thanks in advance for any replies.
