Hi shelly, My son was diagnosised at 8 with adhd. He also never was a good sleeper. I never thought he had sleep apnea, so we never had him tested for that. He was tested by a pychologist. There was alot put into the test, so we never doubted the diagnosis. You can always have him tested for both. good luck
