I think it may be time for your son to either accept her, or move out. He's now an adult, and is interfering with the happiness of two other adult lives. Maybe in a few years he will have learned to accept her, but you must make a stance that this is your girlfriend, and it is not acceptable for him to make her feel uncomfortable in your (you and her) home.

By the way, I am speaking from the viewpoint of the girlfriend, and if my boyfriend did not stand up for me, I'd leave too.
