Let's get creative shall we...

1) Does this child eat your food?
2) Who puts the clothes on this kids back?
3) Does this child live under your roof?
4) Do you taxi this child around?
5) Do provide the means for any extra-curricular activities?
6) Does she watch t.v.?
7) Does she listen to the radio?
8) Does she play on the computer?
9) Who does her laundry?

All of these items are fair game if they are under your roof. Explain rules and the consequences and stick by them. Enforce them.

"Sally, if you chooses disrepect me again, you will lose the use of a valuable possession."

Next time she gives you grief, wait until she leaves the house, and put her boom box in the trunk of your car.

When she yells and screams at you for this let her know that her behaviour will not be tolerated. If she continues more of her stuff will disappear.

When she gets to the point, perhaps where she has only a shirt and pants and nothing else... I mean nothing else, no bed, no furniture, no t.v., no boom box... nothing, she may learn that there are consequences for bad behaviour.

Once you have all her stuff, you might even consider letting her earn them back from you.
