SUBJECT: Problems with stepdaughter
My fiance and I share custody of his 3 1/2 y/o daughter with her mother. We get her every weekend. Well lately when it comes time for bed she's been crying and telling us she doesn't like us and doesn't want to come down anymore, and she crys for her mother until she falls asleep. We never had this problem until like a couple of months ago. She sleeps with her mother and stays up until she falls asleep, but down here she's put in her bed at 9pm. Now her mother told us that she's saying that her daddy kicks her...neither one of us believe in spanking, we do "timeout" and I know he would never hurt her. I don't know why she's being like this. Should we seek professional help or should he and I talk to her ourselves?
