 | Your post is so sad! I've worked in a daycare center also, and I have a son who is now 4 years old, and this may sound too overprotective to some, but it's the only daycare he's been to because I don't trust anyone else (especially complete strangers!) with my son.
The daycare center I worked at was good though, with one exception...there was an older woman who used to smack the kids' hands if they were doing something they shouldn't have been doing (and did other questionable things also). Everytime she was reported (by one of the other co-workers, including myself), she completely lied and said something like, "Well, I would NEVER do that," and sound so sincere, the supervisor would believe her and let it go.
I can't handle daycare centers. I've looked and looked for a daycare to take my son to, but I've given up. I've visited so many...and had extended visits. I don't think I'm being too picky either, it's just that, this is my son. You have to be choosy when it's your own child. You never know what will happen when you leave your child...and that's so unfortunate because so many people need daycare for their kids if they work, etc.
