SUBJECT: Speech Problems
I have a 3yrd old daughter who I think is doing pretty good in talking. She knows here abc's and was recently had a little part in a graduation doing "I'm a little teapot" and 2 poems. She cannot pronounce all the words correctly but she does know the gist of the song. It's other people though that are constantly telling me they don't understand anything she says. I know there are children who do talk early. very early. How do I know for sure whether or not she really has a problem. I don't want to put extra pressure on her or go thru the process of going to a therapist if its not really necessary. Sometimes she gets very excited so may not be able to come across that clearly. Any suggestions or does anyone else have the same issue?
