hey-

i completely empathize with you. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks after my boyfriend and I broke up. I called him to let him know in hopes we would get back together (he's out of state attending college). Of course I got the I'll be there for you and anything you need just call me. I told him about my first appt. (when I would find out how far along I was) and he said that he would call to check up on me. I didn't hear from him. After about another 2 weeks I called him again and told him how everything was going. He still didn't call. The last and final time I called and asked him if he wanted to be a part of my child's life and he said yes. Guess what...still no call. At this point I decided that I didn't need him to raise my child. Of course every girl has the dream of getting married and then having children. It just doesn't happen like that all the time and I have finally accepted that. Although I really want my child to have a father he/she knows (find out 7/31/03) I can't make someone take responsibility for something if they don't want to. All I know is that I was in love with this guy and still am. It hurts me that all those times he said he loved me I know now he wasn't sincere. I have really bad days and pray that each day will get better. But what keeps me going is the child that i'm carrying. there will be nobody in the world that you will love more than your own child. I have found that even though times are tough, I have to survive for my unborn child. Life always gives you sour lemons, but to be able to turn it into lemonade is the greatest gift in the world. Just know that there are others going through the same thing. I hope this helps you find comfort in your situation. keep your head up. I hope your pregnancy turns out to be the best experience ever. Who needs men anyways....:)
