I had a craving for jalpeno cheese and banana pepper rings, I ate so many peppers I could feel the sweat forming on the top of my head. I was very afraid to even look up in the famous book "What to expect when you are expecting" to see what kind of harm I'd done to my poor child but it said that peppers were actually high in vitamen C...wait let me get the book so I don't miss qoute...pg 149-150 Hot Stuff " I love sicy food-the hotter, the better. Is it safe to eat it while I'm pregnant? Answer... Hot mamas-to-be can continue to challenge their taste buds with four alarm chilis, salsas, and stir-fries-as long as you can tolerate the almost inevitabel( which I never head, I had a record good pregnancy, as a matter of fact I'd place bets that I had one of the best pregnacies in history...until the massive ppd set in afterwords, anyway) The book says... there is no risk to pregnancy or the feus from spicy foods, and in fact, since peppers of all kinds are packed with vitamin C, many of these foods are EXTRA-nutritious. So enjoy, but don't forget to take along the atacid.
I breathed a hugh sigh of relieve after I read that, bombs away. ps I have the cutest little boy.
