SUBJECT: Does this sound like colic?
My 12 week old son screams and cries and arches his back when I try to feed him. Sometimes it takes hours just to get one bottle down, and he is clearly hungry. He was diagnosed with acid reflux, and is on prevacid and uses nutramigen. The other day he refused to eat all day so the doctor admitted us and they put a scope down his throat looking for damage, it came out normal. That was the only test they ran. The Gi that did the test suggested we switch to Nutramigen and it's been 2 days and he is still refusing to eat a few times a day and is crying so much when I try to feed him. He has gas, I just never thought that could be the problem. He has been only taking in like 4 feeds a day. He seems to mostly just be fussy at feeding time, does this sound like colic? We were seen by a feeding specialist and she said he looked like he was in pain of some sort. I don't know what else we can test for or what else my ped can do for him, can anybody please please please help, I am at my wits end with this.
