It seems to me that your husband is more affraid of what you'll do with all of your free time while your little one is in school. He knows that she'll learn tons of things that she just can't learn at home (sharing,interacting with other kids,etc.). He needs to stop thinking of himself because hey, eventually,she is going to school, and you will have all that free time anyway!
