Thanks for your response.

I've decided to take my daughter to San Fransisco. I'm still nervous, but I'm sure it will be fine. We're doing our best to book flights which work best with her schedule. We're also taking a direct flight, which I think will be easier on all of us. My daughter is going to sleep in an adjoining hotel room (I don't see how she would ever nap or go to bed at night with me in the same room). We called the hotel and they seem very supportive of their littlest guests.

One question: do you know if airlines rent out car seats or do you have to bring your own?
