SUBJECT: unfair school punishment
I noticed on the discipline message board that someones daughter had been given lines at school. My daughter was given 500 lines for passing a note to a friend in algebra. The time it took her to write them was ridiculous. My daughter was virtually in tears before she had finished them. The teacher made her wait behind class while she dictated a line to her. She must have been thinking it up during the lesson because it was about 20 words long. I dont mind my daughter being punished but I thing it was way too severe. She was told they would be doubled if they werent finished by Monday morning and that they had to be done neatly whatever that means. I would have much rather her been given a few hours algebra as punishment.
