SUBJECT: 7 l/2 year old girls weight concern
I am a mother of a 7l/2 year old girl who is 4 ft. tall. SHe weighs 62 lbs. She carrys most of her weight in her belly and she is becoming uncomfortable in wearing a 2 piece bathing suit, says she looks chunky, etc. I am trying desparately to find out the correct weight for her height and age so that we can work on correcting her eating habits and increasing exercise. But I don't know if she really is overweight or not. Also, shouldn't she experience a growing period soon?

Any help would be appreciated.
