I just experienced the same nightmare. My 2 1/2 yr. old son, I am told, was hitting the other children at the gym nursery and ended up tackling another child and punching him in the face until he bled. Luckily, the child was o.k. Then, I am told by his daycare teacher that he has been getting progressively more aggressive this past month with hitting, kicking, throwing, pushing, attempting to choke another child, and back talk. She tells me that time outs, and being sent to the directors office do not have any affect on his behavior. He'll get right up and repeat the behavior, just like he was never punished. I see some aggressive behavior at home and was reassured by friends/family that "that's a boy for you", but I have not seen the violence that was described previously. I have a 14 month old son-- they play fairly well together considering their ages. I was told by his teacher that this deterioration started only this past month which is when his half sister moved in with us for the summer for visitation. She is my 8 yr. old stepdaughter. How do I handle this?
