SUBJECT: three yr. old stubborn with carseat
I have a stubborn 3yr old daughter. We have had many battles in the car. Sometimes when we have been out and it is time to get back in the car she will get in the car but refuses to get in the carseat. I never drive the car with her not in her seat (it would never be an option). She seems to use it more of a control issue. I have physically put her in the seat several times but there are times it is impossible to do so with her physically refusing to get in. She also started two new things: she slides the seatbelt straps behind her and.... the other day when we were leaving the post office she wanted me to buy two greeting cards, I told her no I wasn't going to buy cards but we could stop and look at one. When it was time to go, she wasn't too happy. She started a little tantrum , I carried her out the door (while pushing my 4month old in a stroller). Once we were out the door she calmed down. When we got to the car she climbed into her brother's infant carseat and refused to get out We were there 30 minutes dealing with this!!!Does anyone else have carseat problems? Please help with advice!! thank you
