It's too bad that the director isn't willing to look into this situation as more serious. I am not an expert, but want to share something. My son (whom is now 8 yrs. old) used to do alot of head banging and had alot of trouble with the control of his aggression toward other children. He didn't mean to be bad, but it was almost like he couldn't help it. He has been diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. Diagnosis can come anywhere from age 2 - 10 years of age. Symptons often include biting other children and head banging. My child never was involved in biting, but he did yell at other children often cried when other kids didn't do what he wanted. Tourette's Syndrome is not just a problem involving tics and is often first seen as a behavior problem. Many children are often mis-diagnosed as having other problems instead, and later diagnosed as having Tourette's. Again, I am not a professional in this area, but have done alot of studying since my son was diagnosed. The parent's of this "biting" child should seriously look into the matter more intently. If I were you I would suggest this to the director when you meet with him/her.
