SUBJECT: Something to keep in mind
When I was growing up, there was a man in my neighborhood named Bill. He was this really cool old guy who knew all the kids. Our parents didn’t want us around him but we thought he was great because we could tell him EVERYTHING and he would tell us how mean and repressive our parents were. He also gave us a place to hang out (and make out) and provided the beer FOR FREE because he knew we were old enough to handle it. We thought he was so nice. That was until we discovered that he was a complete pervert and criminal. He wasn’t just being nice for no reason. Bill really enjoyed a house full of teenagers, he liked the influence he had on us and he wanted us to think he was so cool.

It took us a while to realize that Bill was getting off on the power he held over us. He liked having us as an audience so that he could feel young again. It also turned out that he had a thing for 12 year old girls.

There are still “Bills” hanging around. Not just in neighborhoods but other places in today’s society. While he may or may not let you in his house to party, he still likes the idea of having teenagers look up to him and enjoys taking away the importance of parents so that he can some how fill that role. But don’t let him fool you. He doesn’t care about you. He is there for his own needs and his own ego. The only people you can really trust are your parents (I had to learn this too). No matter how bad it may seem, no matter how embarrassing it may seem, your parents love you, talk to them. So please, be careful. Watch out for all those “Bills”.
