SUBJECT: Harry Potter: Wizard maker?
Has there ever been a more fanatical pop-culture following than Harry Potter? I don't think so. Noboby likes to go against the current in ANY situation, especially a social/popular one, but I'm sorry...while only the strictest adherants to the biblical message were uncomfortable with the wizardry of Mickey Mouse et al, we were evidently, to some degree desensitized as a Nation to the acceptance of the occult and sources of para-normal power originating from a source other than our Creator. This next step in that direction has left me stunned to see the level of fanciful folly and lack of discernment shown by otherwise careful and protective parents. I see a line of division being drawn between those whose faith has more or less been inherited as a vague identity of sorts and those who have a sincere personal experience in seeking the truth and re-establishing a broken fellowship with God unto eternal life. In the area of the occult, there is no "gray area" of involvement...we are expressly commanded to run from it in scripture. One of the creators of this website has a pre-teen who wrote this: "Breaking rules is usually a really bad idea. But if you're a wizard, it's OK..." Well, how much more clear can it get? I can see it now>>>"Don't worry officer, I'm a wizard!" And don't laugh it off like THAT wouldn't ever happen. "Kids" at Columbine High killed the best most committed Christian classmates they could find in their hatred of the Judeo-Christian message and in accordance with their own evil occultic mindset which grew from JUST SUCH BOOKS AS HARRY POTTER, Dungeons and Dragons games, Marily Manson music and video games portraying how "fun" it can be to take on an evil persona. There is a fence on the occult which has been set up by God on which no person can stradle...which side are you on?
