| Welcome to the life of toddlers. Just wait until she starts screaming and crying at the top of her lungs, both at home and in public, "Go away, mommy!!" and "Get out, Get out!!" My two year old daughter says this to me every single day when I do something she doesn't like or she has a tantrum over something. Just today, her father and I had to leave a restaurant five minutes after being seated because she kept screaming and crying and wouldn't sit down. Talk about embarrassing. Some people will tell you that having a talk with your child before you go into restaurants and stores about what kind of behavior you expect will help out a lot. Forget about it. My two year old doesn't care about what kind of behavior I expect from her. I'm not even sure she understands what I'm talking about when I say to her, "Now, when we go inside I want you to be a good girl and sit in your seat, okay."
Anyway, you're not alone. Just try to bear it as best as you can. It has nothing to do with upbringing. Good luck!!! |
