Hi Jenn,
I've been trying almost 18 months. In January my obgyn did bloodwork (just day 3 and said everything was fine and that I should be pregnant in 3 months). Well when that didn't happend I requested more bloodwork. Day 23/24 bloodwork is just to check your progesterone level. In order to be able to get pregnant the level needs to be about 10-12. Mine was 3 which could mean a few things: my uterus linging doesn't contain enough progesterone to hold a fertilized egg or I didn't ovulate. As far as things I've tried: vitex, wild yam, tussin (to thin mucucs), cervical mucus tracking as well as position, clear blue easy fertility monitor, basal temping(didn't work for me), having sex every other day, and my husband has had sperm analysis done (everything is great with hime). Clomid is a prescription medication meant to improove egg quality, induce ovulation and also increase progesterone levels.
Hope this helps,
LinaB
