Hi, I am a mother of 3, ranging from 8months to 16 years, and I do empathize with you. However, you do need to regain control of your daughter and the situation. Although it may be painful to hear your child say terrible things to you, I don't see how that should really impact your way of maintaining control. Yes, it's painful, but it should not be enough to do what you, as a parent, need to do to raise a responsible adult. As much as she may battle you, you need to accept the responsibilities as a parent and lay down the law.
Bear in mind that you have very little time left to raise your child, and once she's 18 there will no longer be a whole lot you can do about it. It seems to me that this kind of behavior has been going on for quite sometime, and if that's the case you obviously cannot expect it to be fixed overnight. However, the sooner you start, the sooner the changes will take effect. Do you think she doesn't know that by becoming nasty, that she manages to always manipulate the situation to the way she wants it to turn out? Take the power back and do what needs to be done, because her manipulations are not going to work in the real world and she and you are in for a very hard road.
