anyone recovered from post partum depression

I thought I put this message on here once but it seems to not have taken. If anyone is out there and has had ppd and recovered after going off thier meds I could sure use the reassurance that this is not going to be a permanent condition. Also anyone recovered and then became pregnant again, what was your experience as I would like to have another child.
I had not had a problem with depression for a long time before I became pregnant. When I was pregnant I felt great. I joked with my husband that I was afraid that I wouldn't feel that good again after I had the baby, well it was no joke, because I had to start meds 2 weeks after my son was born.
I could use some inspirational stories.
