He has eaten, slept perfect since birth with no illness. Six days ago he started projectile vomiting, sometimes minutes after eating, even dry eaves when he's empty. Wev'e been to the Dr. 3 times and ER once. He's been on Pedialyte, but can't keep it down either. The first 2 Dr. visits called it a virus, the 3rd still called it a virus, but did a blood count and urine culture which were fine. On Day 5,we went to ER, he's lifeless and whimpers as he's too weak to cry hard. Obviously he's keeping enough not to be dehydrated as his CHEM 7 was OK. An upper GI was done and the Dr. mashed on his stomach as he drank and said he thought it was probably reflux, and put him on raglan, it has helped some as he's not throwing up immediately after eating and not as much, but he's still miserable. He continues to whine and whimper when he's awake and is still so weak. He seems to be in pain and can only drink 3-4 oz. and then seems to panic, throws his arms up and cry. Wer'e so frustrated and tired, he was taking 6-8oz every 4-6 hr. and was such a happy baby! We have concerns about the day before the onset of the vomiting, while in the church nursery, the nursery worker mixed his formula in a 3 oz. water bottle instead of his 8oz bottle. Could the heavy concentration of formula caused some type of obstruction or problem that would last 6 days? PLEASE HELP | | | |
