WE ARE GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING!! Just like the rest of you, my husband and I are frustrated and sleep-deprived. I hate to admit that I'm relieved to hear other people are having a similar situation. I was beginning to worry that something was wrong with my child. She is almost 3, 34mos. old. We just switched her to a big bed one week ago. She's always slept wonderfully in her crib. We're trying the Ferber method now, after a week of sleeping with her. I didn't want to get that habit started. Now, I put her to bed and say good night then leave the room. I shut her door so she can't get out. First I let her cry for 5 min., then come in and soothe her, then 7 min., etc. Usually by around 5 min., she finds a way to get the door opened. This is our first night trying this and it's killing me. After an hour of this, my husband finally relieved me and now he's trying to soothe her. Our problem is that she won't stay in the bed!!!!! Good luck to all of you. I'll keep you in my prayers. If we begin to see some success with this, I'll let you know!
