SUBJECT: ADHD-I????
I have taught second and third grade and now teach kindergarten. I have experience with ADHD in my past classrooms as well as current classroom. I have one student that is having severe problems. He is: not very social, has a short attention span (looks around the room during lessons), pretends not to know information that I know he knows, refuses to do assignments & participate in activities, talks like a baby at times, and never smiles. He will shock me by producing work independently (on occassion) that I didn't think he even paid attention to. In the beginning of the school year, he had a very difficult time & had tantrums regularly. Any ideas? I was researching some possible ideas when I came across ADHD-I. Has anyone dealt with this? I am very concerned for this future school years.
