Our 3 year old granddaughter had the same problem with monsters. Daddy made a "monster shaker" he used daddy's sock with coins that rattled and shock it all around the bed sending the monsters away. As a grandma with three children of my own, I believe taking them to bed with you with create a bigger problem, you may never get them out.
