SUBJECT: kawasaki disease???
My son just got out of the hospital with atypical kawasaki disease. He is 17 months and from everything I read it doesn't sound like that is what he had. He didn't have the red eyes, red mouth, or bumpy rash. He did have a rash but it was not raised at all. He also didnt have any of the peeling of the hands or feet. His blood counts also went down, not up. He needed 2 albumin transfusions and a platelet transfusion besides the ivig. Did anyone else have atypical kawasaki disease and is this how it acted? He does have cardiac effusion but not the narrowing that is also typical.

Thanks
