I started using tampons at 13. I don't really think any age is too young for tampons. Buy your daughter Playtex Slimfits. My baby sister uses those, they are really small and have a plastic applicator. Plus, they really are better than tampax. Instead of getting longer, and longer, and longer inside you, they expand inside you so you don't feel it as much. If she feels she is ready for tampons, let her use them when she wants to. If you feel you MUST put a limit on tampons, tell her not to wear them at night to prevent TSS. Go to the playtex website. They have a kit there for a small fee (under $10 I believe) for mothers and daughters. They may also have free samples.
