SUBJECT: 3 year old will not sleep (Monsters in mind)
Hi my name is kris. I have a 3 year old son who will not sleep at night. He will si in bed with me and my wife and say he see's monsters? i do not know what to do or think of this. Recently i was sitting up in bed with him untill 7:00am the next morning. About one month ago he has watched a scary movie called 13 Ghosts. I wasnt going to let him watch it but he really seemed to enjoy it, and he was mesmorised by it. The next day he wanted to watch it again. And the following days he would cry and throw a fit to watch this scary move. I wouldnt let him watch it any more, and he threw a fit wanting to watch it every day. Well about a week ago he woke up in the middle of the night and jumped out of his bed and ran through the house screamin "The Monsters Are Going To Get Me" and he was shaking and sweaty. My wife told him we were in our room and to come in bed with us. when he di he fell right back assleep. The following night's he would jus not sleep he sits up all night and stares at the wall or cealing and talks about things he see's, like yucky feet ans hurting eye's. I dont know what exactly he see's, his speech is not to well yet. But I put his toddler bed in our room and put it next to our bed with a night light so i could maybe get some sleep at night. It did not work and ive talked to him explaining monsters were not real, and he was safe daddy would protect him, and if he got scared he could just hop right in bed with me and mommy. Nothing has worke and i could really use some advice. please help!
