| I feel the same way, as far as not being alone with this illness. I was hospitalized back in march/03 for a one week period, because I had lost about 15 pound, was getting quite dehydrated and was just 2 weeks pregnant. Once I was diagnosed with UC, I was put on 'Salofalk' 500mg-2 pills three times a day. (it took about 3 weeks for things to settle down put I've been almost symptom free since April-just a bit of a flare-up last week). Has anyone out there ever heard of this med. I was told it is one of the few meds that is safe in pregnancy (another name for it is aminosalicyclic) I've read the messages post here and not one person seems to be on the same medication as me. Everyone seems to be on 'Imuran' or 'Asacol', if there is anyone out there that is on the same med. as me please let me know.
also, just to let you know I am now 4 1/2 months pregnant and it seems the baby is doing great!
