SUBJECT: My 7 yr old son and his best friend
I have been very quiet about this for the most part but I can't keep quiet anymore. I was over at my friends house one night. My son and her son (my son-5 at the time, her son-y at the time)were playing with toys while we were having a conversation. Things were awfully quiet and then..to my dismay...I looked under there coffee table and there was my son and her son - embracing eachother and kissing. My mouth dropped. I was frozen. I was embarrassed and mad and well...I told him it was time to go. Her boyfriend took her boy and took him into the other room and spanked him. I for the most part tried to keep my composure because I didn't know whether to yell when we got in the car..or to try and talk to him. Almost 3 years have passed. He has a best friend in the neighborhood and I've told them that they could have a sleep over. Whenever I went to the basement to check on them, they would hop off the couch and start talking about the cartoon they were watching, etc. My son looked pretty laid back but had a look of guilt. His friend tried to play it cool but really had an even worse look of guilt on his face. He's had a sleep over once since that time but I made it a point to constantly check on them. Almost to the point of being annoying. I pulled my son away at one point and told him I wanted to talk to him. I asked him if they both had their pants down and what they were doing. My son would not say but that motherly instinct tells me something more. I don't want to let him have sleepovers anymore because of this. Am I wrong? HELP!! I'm going crazy! Is this normal? If so, should anything be said?
