My son does not communicate at school

I have tried every thing to make my son talk at school, but nothing worked.
Today his teacher told me he might have ADHD and since he does not talk we have to fail him in tests.
There are days when I just sit down and cry as I don't know what to do. He just don't seem to listen, crys a lot, throw tantrums and has low self esteem. Does not socialize and seemed to be depressed most of the time.
I have tried every thing to make him talk with others but he is not ready for it.
