I know it has been some time since this dialogue began, so I am not sure if you will receive this message. I am curious to know what age you started using the kyo-dophilus. My son is now 4 months and takes expressed breast milk that I could add it to. How did you finally determine what exactly your son is allergic to and did everything heal once those were eliminated? My sons stools are extremely mucousy and only come every 1 to 2 days. Our Dr doesn't seem so concerned b.c. he is otherwise healthy and i have not found any blood in the stool, but I am still very concerned as it causes him tremendous pain. I have been free of dairy, soy, wheat, eggs, citrus, tomato for about 3 months and still no luck. I also gave up chocolate when I found that even soy and dairy free chocolate caused a flare up. His pain has gotten much better since I ave up all of the above, but the mucous is just as much if not more... I just gave up corn and haven't been eating many berries but will give that up to. I am desperate to find a solution and get rid of his tummy pains. Our Dr doesn't think we should try formila b.c he doesn't think it would help and believes breast milk to be better - so I haven't tried it, but when he is in pain I wonder if I should try nutramigen for a few weeks and see if he heals... Our Dr also said this will go away when he is about 10 months - but I don't understand how and am wondering what your or others experiences have been with this. I assume that whatever allergy he has to my food will remain and he too will respond. My other question is when do I start solids - I am very apprehensive to do so when his digestive tract is not working well and am just curious when you did this? Anyhow - any advice or expereinces that you or others could share would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long message... take care. Thank you!
